Beitbridge Housing Redevelopment Project Launched

The Beitbridge Housing Redevelopment Project was recently launched at Dulibadzimu Township. The project had stalled in 2008 and construction then resumed in 2018 following resource support for the completion of 52 three bedroomed   houses (inclusive of the 28 which were commissioned).

All the 52 housing units are now habitable following the provision of requisite infrastructure which includes: water, sewer, power and road network.

The greater scope of the project will cover the following:

•           Construction of 102 X 3 bedroomed houses

•           Construction of 16 blocks of flats (flats when complete will house 64 families)

•           4 x Garden Flats (16 families),

•           6 x Duplex Flats (12 families),

•           4 x 3 storey 3 bedroomed Flats (12 families),

•           2 x 3 storey 2 bedroomed Flats (24 families)

•           Provision of onsite infrastructure (roads, water, sewer & power development

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, His Excellency the President pointed out that the New Dispensation had since prioritized the completion of stalled projects with national impact, in light of Vision 2030 within the National Development Strategy 1 which seeks to deliver  220 000 housing units by 2025.
